Serious Sam 3 Update 178606
Build 178606 for Serious Sam 3 is released.
If you have previously opted into public beta, you already have this.

Here are the changes:
- Tentative fix for a crash at "Enumerating packages" that happened only on some machines.
- XBox360- and PS3-compatible gamepads are now supported on OSX.
- Added inp_bDisableGamepads cvar that disables polling gamepad control values. Useful for machines with built-in sensors that act as gamepads.
- Fixed problems with microstuttering fix causing a momentary time warp when exiting in-game menu.
- Fixed an issue where Netricsa would be stuck on hud in rare cases.
- Puppets can no longer rotate while subjected to player melee.
- Fixed kamikazes not inflicting damage to player when killed nearby player on Tourist/Easy difficulty.
- Editor: Aircraft and Khnum puppets can now be killed by sandwhale.
- Editor: Lose weapons flag on chapter info now works.
- Editor: Various fixes and improvements on fbx importer like suport for vertex colors, some unit conversion problems, user property curves in animations, bind pose detection problems, etc.
- Editor: Fixed a rare crash when editing SandWhale on custom levels.
- Scripting: Every spawned entity now sends an "EntitySpawned" event.
- Scripting: Optimized event handling for events that are sent very often (needed for EntitySpawned).
- Scripting: Puppet class now exposes a new macro function: GetCharacterClassFromParams(), which returns the character class set in params.
- Scripting: Path marker entity now exposes new macro functions: GetPreviousMarker() and GetNextMarker().
- Scripting: Added global OnStep script event, sent once per simulation step.
- Scripting: Added new lua math function: mthLenV3f().
- Server: Fixed wrong names for vote pass/fail commands in DedicatedServer_Readme.txt.
- Server: Dedicated server no longer attempts to initialize voice chat, which just caused spurious errors in the log.
- Server: It is now possible to use chatSay cvar function on dedicated server. Messages sent that way appear as comming from the "[admin]" player.

I think it may be hardware let me cover my end first
Nice! Finally Controller support for OSX, thanks :D
I'm getting crashes with this beta as well, seems to happen most frequently when using the bracelet band.

I tried to post the Sam3.log, but get the following error:

"Sorry, some kind of error has occurred: Comments must be less than 1000 characters in length."

I also don't see an option to attach a file.

Dyaster, crashes on bracelet were reported if you have multithreaded rendering enabled. (Which is not default, still experimental.) We will be fixing that soon.

I don't know why some people cannot post long comments. Perhaps it depends on some factors like number of posts, etc. Anyway, you can always post to pastebin and link to it from here. But please make a new thread for a new problem report. It is hard to track down issues if multiple people report multiple problems in same thread. Thanks!
Thanks! I do have the multithread option enabled. I'll revert.

Hey there, any info about next patch?

Working on pushing it through beta in a day or two.

Uh, so it will be over a month since last time we/I could play multiplayer more less stable. My PC is not powerful enough to play SS3 without multithreaded rendering. I also don't like to play at low settings ;) + spectator bug from february = disconnects
I have hope all those SS3 crashes I had were caused by Mutilator while multithreaded rendering was enabled. My secret source of knowledge told me it's already fixed.
Can't wait to play and check if multithreaded rendering is stable now.

Sorry, but this didn't sound critical. If it was considered a blocker, we would have shipped a quick fix earlier. It will be out in publicbeta today. If no critical issues are found in it, we can make it default by Monday.
I thought I will have to wait longer until it reach default to play multiplayer but it's cool, thanks for info.
Ok I've got publicbeta right now. I will test and report "findings" on Sunday.
