[Linux] Keys are stuck - Alt-fire stuck [Fixed]
The first time I played SS3:BFE I could not get "iron sights" to work with the pistol via right-click on the mouse. The last save, and subsequent saves, the alt-fire (iron sights) have been enabled constantly. This behaviour persists across weapons, with the sledgehammer also repeatedly being triggered without any user input. While I am grateful for the iron sights, I am not so happy about it being stuck.

How do I stop alt-fire from spamming? How do I get it to trigger in the first place?

Changing the key assignment does not help.

My friend has the exact same problem, with alt fire being constantly spammend. Changing the keys didnt help either. Althou his alt fire was being spammed from the first second.

So if anyone has any info regarding this bug, or perhaps even a fix, we would be most grateful.

Same problem here.
The game thinks, that I have connected an Xbox controller, but I play with mouse and keyboard.
For example: it says "hold RT for aim" etc..
I have Linux Mint 13 64bit, kernel 3.6.5, Gnome3.
It did not happen when I played it a few months ago in Steam for Linux beta.

Yes, I also get many "press A" and "hold LT" messages. I figured it was due to oversights in porting, but it is strange that you did not see it in beta.

Same problem here, but my game recognize everything properly(my keyboard and mouse), but still...it looks like this "click" event stock in some kind of loop...i guess

I can't say I'm happy with this purchase, I'd ask for a refund if it were possible. There doesn't seem to be much support for this game in Linux. Am I posting in the wrong place?

No, just the devs are busy. You can't even imagine the support they were giving to Linux before they were busy, it was quite awesome.

Thank you for the response! I would have purchased add-ons during the sale if the linux threads were more active. Good to know the devs are active.

I tested with a different mouse, and with both the track pad and trackpointer buttons (no mouse). The problem persists. When I first started the (saved) game with the new mouse, the right mouse button did not work at all (no alt-fire), when I changed the key to "right mouse button and caps-lock" the button spamming started again, and persists.

Exact same here. But i realize, that when "right mouse button" doesnt work at all you just have to open console("¸") and it work again, but as Pickletini already sayd, spamming started again...

Pickletini, seems like your computer (laptop?) has a built-in accelerometer that seems to look like a 3-axis gamepad, and two of those axis seem to be mapped to fire buttons.

We will add ability to manually disable such gamepads in the game, and soon also code to detect the situation and handle it automatically.

In the mean time, you might want to try to disable that device on the system level temporarily. Probably something like this might work: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/util-linux/+question/184447

I also have a laptop - HP ProBook, with an accelerometer. So, I temporarily moved /dev/input/js0 to elsewhere and tried SS3 again. And yes, it works now!

There's an update in public beta (see pinned post), that adds a cvar to disable gamepads in-game. Real fix will require some redesign on how gamepads work. We'll do that in one of the future updates.
