I cannot get a resolution above 1280 by 720 to work.
I am using Windows XP Media Center Edition. I have an ATI Radeon HD 5450 vid card with a Sony HD TV screen as a monitor... No TV out is being used, only an HDMI to HDMI cable with no special setup involved. Fresh drivers for the HD 5450 have been installed. I have attempted to override the video settings in the SeriousSam3.ini file and in a user.cfg file I created. Neither worked so the settings were put back to the way they were installed.

My display properties/Settings are set to:

Display: 1. Plug and Play Monitor on ATI Radeon HD 5450
Screen resolution: 1280 by 720 pixels (the maximum allowable)

In the Catalyst Control Center my settings are:
Display Manager/Display Properties: Desktop area 1920 x 1080

Everything displays at the latter settings with no problems.

I get a random error sometimes that states something about a TV out being activated, yet there is no such setting. I don't have problems with any other software displaying at the correct (1920 x 1080) resolution.

Your card is nowhere near powerful enough to play games at 1920x1080 resolution. You need a high-end graphics card to do that. The supported resolutions of your TV depends on it's EDID information. Most TVs have very limited support for resolutions. You should post your Sam3.log file so we can see any errors you are getting.

Yeah, but I have no issues with any other games or software running at 1920x1080. Here is the log info:

Your log states you are trying to change to 1920x1200, not 1920x1080. Your TV is not likely to support 1920x1200.
