Gore effects getting lost when capturing the game
For some reason, some of the animations are removed when I use Fraps or Dxtory. Despite my PC handling the game easily (changing the setting doesn't do anything with this issue), capturing it causes the removal of animations: When me or the other player kill enemies with bare hands or the hammer, the dying animations are removed (the model just disappears) and the pieces of exploding enemies don't appear at all. Also, weird bugs can be seen like the other players or enemies being stuck in the ground, which doesn´t influence the game, its just a visual thing. Any idea how I can prevent the game from having its FX influenced by capturing software?!

Super helpful.

Enemies do that when the FPS is lower than 30FPS, it's the engine's "defense mechanism" against low performance.

What Solais said. The solution is to make sure the machine is fast enough to capture at high FPS. Or use a dedicated HDMI capture card to capture the output using a second machine. But that can be more expensive.

Suggest using shadow play if you have a nvidia card.

Btw, just to make it clear - there _is_ a way to turn off those optimizations. But that would defeat the purpose as then your capture would be stuttering with low FPS peaks due to the impact of the recorder on CPU and GPU.

I'll get a new computer someday and then I'll try it again.
