Serious Sam is an arcade style shooter where you dodge bullets and face a huge amount of enemies. Despite seemingly simple and straight forward, you have to manage your ammo, choose the right gun for the right enemies, learn their attack patterns, prioritize certain targets while being mindful of the crowd of monsters storming you. The game is intense, especially towards the end, well worth a playthrough.
The graphics are a bit old, the maps size is huge though mostly empty (except for secret bonuses and traps), but the idea of battling aliens in Ancient Egypt temples, palaces and cities is rather neat.
