Monsters Spawning Incorrectly?
I've played this game on XBox Live, and I ♥♥♥♥ing loved it so much that I bought it again for my PC. But, I'm noticing that monsters either don't spawn in certain places like they should, or the number of them don't spawn like they normally do. And, if I reload a level, they sometimes do spawn normally. I mean, it's real minor, and it's really mostly just monsters that are suppose to spawn with certain item pick ups, but I've played this game so many times that I'm noticing it.

Which monsters exactly? Have you played the Xbox 360 version, or the old Xbox1 version? Because the Xbox1 version was modified in quite some places, and doesn't have 100% the classic layout of enemies and items. Perhaps that's what you are seeing?

I also have almost the same problem. I usually play on easy difficulty. And for example when I complete half of the game, I make a saved game, and continue it on the next day. But when I load that saved game it seems like its on another difficulty: much more enemies spawn than it should be. I can fix it by start a new game on easy and then load that saved game again, If I do this it fix the problem.

It's the XBox 360 version. I also recall them spawning regularly on SS Classic. Like, for instance, I'm playing on Serious mode, and I remember on the Valley of Kings, there's a armor pick up before you go inside the temple that's suppose to spawn Witch Harpies that never show up. And on Metropolis, the two Reptiloids that spawn above you in the beginning of the level aren't there either. I did get the Reptiloids to spawn once, however, and that's it. I'm also wondering if it has to do with the way I got my game's performance set up, since my laptop isn't really the best in the world.

Perhaps you should verify integrity of game cache. That might fix some things.
