QUESTION - Which to play first Original or HD Versions?

Hi,

I've bought the bundle.. never played any of them before...

I'm wondering which i should play first... the original versions or the HD versions....

Are they absolutely faithful down to the inch... exact same maps, exact same creatures at same time and spot etc?

If i play the original ones will i be bored to death playing the HD version cause it is sooo exactly the same....

Should i just play the HD ones first?

What do you think?

Prefer to hear from someone who has played them both?

I think you won't miss out anything important if you start with the HD versions, they're pretty much the same as the "vanilla" ones, only with better graphics. Just my opinion though :)

Start with the HD versions,they are superior in every way,they are the same game but better looking,you wont miss anything from the original games,i also own the bundle but have chosen not to add the original games to steam as they are pointless to me that i have the HD versions.

I'll just echo the above sentiments. The original Serious Sam games were among my favorites as a kid... and the HD versions are literally the exact same game with updated visuals. You're not missing anything by skipping the originals.

Well it doesn't matter tbh. They just re-done the textures and added some extra enemies along with some archievements you can get in the HD-Version of those games. Start with whatever you like but start with First Encounter :)

HD textures,improved sound effects and music (old version prone to glitches in sound),New models and much better animation,far superior physics on all models,better steam online compaibility and achievements,yet the game has not strayed in any way from the original,it feels the same and runs the same,it's the same game only much better.

And last but not least - 360 controller supported fully and working when you start the game.
