Languages require a lot of space. I remeber when they added a new language to Bioshock Inifite. That patch was about 2.4GB, just for a single language:).

Valve games have a ton of localization support and not one of them uses this much space for it. They should follow their example and force people to redownload the game if they ever want to change languages (to save space for the majority of players who almost certainly won't).

According to steamdb, maxsize is just 230.63mb bigger.

It's not just that: sometimes you need to fix things that are packed into large files, perhaps it's just one small file you're changing, but the users have to download the whole 4GB .pkg file because it's encrypted and Steam cannot open it to modify it.

Hope I've been clear enough; of course this is just one explanation, there could be others.

Nope as soon as i click play the splash screen shows up then a big white box the the error message that the program has stopped working. I had no problem playing before this patch. This patch is junk and needs reverted.

I feel so bad for the people who didn't get this for free. I still can't tell the difference between the remastered and original besides the physics FPS bug that's easily fixed lmao
