Normal version or Remastered?
After loving Bioshock Infinite I am ready to give the other Bioshocks another try. I have both versions of both (1 and 2) Bioshocks. Wich ones do you recomend to play?
Thank you.

Thanks, but any reason for it?

Graphics. The biosphere sequence at the start has me sold: the whale has make-over!

Tank you.

Slightly better graphics
Physics not locked to 30 fps, they now run at a smooth 60
Better options to adjust settings such as FOV as opposed to mapping a key in the orignal but having to do it everytime there was a cut-scene
Better support for newer tech/resolution

Thank you both for your answers. I started the BS1 Remastered and everything is great for now :)

Be sure to back up your saves as some people have had issues with saves getting corrupted randomly (havent had issues with saves myself but im doing it just in case).

I have both versions, and while the Remaster looks pretty and has some convenient fixes (resolution, framerate, FOV, etc) it's far more prone to crashing. I've lost my save game several times and these crashes are occurring at random intervals. :(

I can't recommend the Remaster honestly the port itself just as way too many issues to count and i even seen the game crash on someone during a live stream.

Thanks for answering. For now I'll keep with the remastered, I still didn't have a problem. But just to know, is there any way to use the same save file with the normal one?
Also, for backups, do I need anything else but copying the save file? like disable Steam Cloud (If it has it) or similar?

Remastered saves are not compatible with the original release. Same thing applies to Bioshock 2.

I would say Remastered, but I've had too many instances of it crashing and corrupting my saves.

It just had an update, and I think that will be another one soon, that should fix all those crashes. At least so they said in the update news.

Original has wet surfaces, remaster does not.
Guess where the setting is? Underwater.

Remastered, it has much better graphics, there really isnt a reason to buy the original anymore.
