Multiplayer on different connections

Previously on the same connection we had no problem connecting. On different internet connections, we try typing in the correct IP connect address, but the host doesn't show up. What should we do?

first question is, have you port forward the game ??

the game requires a port forward to these particular ports.

These ports will only work only for DirectPlay not Gamespy.

TCP- 47624

TCP -2300-2400

UDP- 2300-2400

these ports need to be port forward if you're going to play on a internet connection, if you don't know how to port forward just look it up, if you do know how to, then make sure the ports are correct etc. and the correct ip adress etc.
