I know there's a way to do it by playing with some files on /steamapps/supermeatboy/, but... Why is it so hard for Team Meat to just create a "Do you want to reset all of your saved data?" button?

They were under a lot of stress when developing the game and had to work to a deadline, they had to produce about three months of content within one month meaning they had little to no sleep for long periods of time and lots of content and features that would be considered normal were cut. Originally there were going to be Dark World Bosses and the existing Bosses were to be much better but this all had to be cut along with other things. As a result things that would seem like something that should be in the game are not due to the crunching they had to do where things like this were extremely low on the priorities list.

Yes some superb defensive white knighting there pixelvortex, but it's been years now, and Team Meat have added in lots of stuff including user made levels with its own world and animations and such... at their leisure. I agree, I would really like to reset my progress and find it baffling that there is no ingame option to do so, particularly since McMillen's next The Binding of Isaac has had one since launch. Oh well.
