but really, some people think it has to do with the binding of isacc, since dr fetus and isaac look very similar.

Apart from the shape of their head and skin color, I don't see how anyone could be drawing connections between Dr. Fetus and Isaac. There are several references to Super Meat Boy in TBoI but that's only because apparently Ed likes to do that kind of things, and any similarities in Dr. Fetus's and Isaac's appearance are probably due to McMillen having a very distinguishable style.

I'm not 100% sure here, but I think someone once asked about this in Edmund's Formspring, and he said the SMB comic gives Dr. Fetus some background. It possible that my mind's playing tricks, so can someone who has actually read the comic confirm this?

The story is mostly mysterious, the only reason given in the game is in the intro. Nobody likes Dr.Fetus so he hates everybody. And Isaac has nothing to do with Dr.Fetus.

No one here knows what they are talking about. Dr.Fetus was born in Coil form the womand and death, meaing he was born to be atleast half-evilish (the other half being depresse, which was actually Edmund McMillen's Mother) He then was born away from everyone in an orb-likr container, eventually becoming his jarrish suited one with a monicle. No body likes him because since he's half-death, he probably eminates an evil essence and no body likes him, which that causes him to be evil and mean. So him being half-death douesn't cause him to be mean directly, only indirectly.

Likely due to him being a fetus in a robotic suit. People are quick to judge about that sort of thing.
