Trading
Releasing some "TRADING cards" and threatening to ban people for tryin to "TRADE" these "TRADING cards" without providing an equal or better alternative is a bit of a dickmove don't you think? If it ♥♥♥♥es you off to have treading topics then why release trading cards in the first place? I wonder if i will get banned for having an opinion on this subject.

There's a sticky, try reading it. That's why it's a sticky.

I did read it, but the old forums are not an equal alternative, you pillock, or i wouldn't have posted in the first place.

They are the place to go and that's the end to that. If you don't like it, don't trade anything.

You don't get it.

So enlighten me, oh wise one.
There is a place to post trade-related stuff. What exactly is the problem with it?
Xaromir Jul 6, 2013 @ 12:01pm
If they get ♥♥♥♥ed off by a few topics extra, then they shouldn't have participated in the blasted trading card thing. It's not that hard to anticipate what people would do.

Firstly: It requires people to register yet another account, (that makes 3 accounts for one service (support also needs one)). Secondly: People need to link that to their Steam account, and wasn't that forum hacked just last year or so? Lastly: It's just not as convenient as this, because this is tied in nicely into the client. I don't see what the ♥♥♥♥ this hostility against trading is all about. And who the hell are you that you feel you are entitled to play cop?

Who are "they"? The developers? I don't think they frequent these forums. The topics get removed by Steam moderators after someone reported them.

I don't see what the ♥♥♥♥ this hostility against trading is all about.
You know how cluttered with trading topics the forums would get if they'd allow trading here? That's why it isn't allowed here, that's why there is a forum for that.

Where exactly am I playing cop?
Xaromir Jul 6, 2013 @ 12:13pm
1) They = who ever the hell's responsible.
2) Did you try? Still - if they wouldn't want that they shouldn't have participated, otherwise: ♥♥♥♥ happens.
3) How about you read your own posts for once.
Pantheon Jul 6, 2013 @ 12:17pm
1) The devs are responsible for the participation, the Steam mods are responsible for enforcing the rules.
2) Try what?
If they wouldn't, they would have created a place for it. Oh wait, they did.
3) I always read my posts. It's pretty much a necessity if you write them. Still can't see where I'm playing cop. I've pointed you to the place for trading and told you why it is like it is. Can't see how that has anything to do with playing cop.

Two can play that dumb game of yours. What rules? Show me in the EULA where it says that. Hurrdurrhurr! If you would read your own post you would have known what i was referring to. I will not discuss this any further with YOU.

And just to finish that off. From the forum rules:

No Backseat Moderating
Let the moderators do the moderating. Backseat moderating is when people who are not moderators try to enforce the forum rules. If you see a person breaking the rules, take advantage of the Report () button or simply ignore the offensive post(s) or thread.

And FYI: It doesn't say anything about trading.

The rule that is mentioned in the sticky I've linked in my first post, of course. You CAN read, right?
There's nothing to disuss here anyway. Trading goes in the trading forum, whether you like it or not.

I'm not trying to enforce any rules here, I'm just telling you the rules.

It's simple really, if trading in the community hubs were allowed soon everything would be full of trading topics, that's probably why that rule exists, the forum is a better place for that kind of thing. IMHO the community hubs should be about the game as much as possible. That's only my oppinion but it really doesn't matter that much does it .. who needs trading topics anyway, that's what the market is for.
Pantheon Jul 6, 2013 @ 3:01pm
The market is for selling stuff, not for trading ;)
What they COULD do is make a subforum on the specific hub for trading. Chivalry: Medieval Warfare for example got one, but that hub is under the control of the game devs, so that might have something to do with it.
