X360 Controller Button Map faulty
For some reason when first playing SMB (PC) everything was fine,
now 1 or 2 hours later the button mapping is off, B button behaves like A ingame, A like X ... etc ... i googled and found a lot of people having the same issue, what i didnt find was a solution ... i installed the latest win7 drivers for the xbox joypad, didnt change a thing

any idea?

Find your Super Meat Boy dir (something like SteamApps/common/Super Meat Boy). There is a file called buttonmap.cfg and it should contain two sections: "keyboard" and "gamepad". Under "gamepad" it should say:
jump="1";
special="3";
useanalog="true"

If it doesn't say that, try changing it so it does.

if i change it to that its broken, i have it set to:


jump="3";
special="2";
useanalog="true";

which leads to at least within a level the "original" mapping working as intended, but as those configs are not respected within the menu, there still everything is broken, i.e. A = back, B= confirm etc

Wow, that's weird. I'm sorry, I have no suggestions apart from that, but if I happen to stumble across something I'll make sure to let you know.
