Grateful for Linux version
I just want to say that I'm very happy that you've finally decided to release Linux version of SMB on Steam. I can finally show my friends I'm so cool to beat SMB :D I know you've released it only due to SteamOS, but still I appreciate your work :D

You're welcome. :)

(It wasn't just for SteamOS; we wanted to find time to improve the Linux version before uploading it to Steam, and we finally did.)

I also would like to say thanks. SMB was the only reason I installed Steam on Win. I switched to Linux a year ago and really missed the game. I was gladly surprised when I started Steam today to find SMB waitingfor me.
Yet I have a Problem: My Gamepad doesn work on Steam. It works great with every other application besides steam. So I cant play SMB properly. It is the same Gamepad I used on Win, a BigBen Model. I am running Linux Mint 14.

Have you tried to install xboxdrv? I believe Steam uses that to configure gamepad automatically, not sure though.

Configure it in Big Picture Mode. You don't have to use Big Picture to play the game. Steam will pass this config on to the game.
