Thx, thats useful info. Can u tell me perhaps how does backup work? I saw the option but not sure how it works. Also, when u lost ur saves achievements were still the same not reseted i hope? :P
Thx, its really weird that I cant find more easily info about backup, should be one of the basic things on steam used often. Meh :/
Config settings, like what resolution you play in, will be lost, though, but nothing you can't trivially recreate on a new machine.
Ah, thx a lot. That will do :).
We definitely support Steam Cloud across Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X. The Steam Client will show the little Cloud icon for the game if your library is in "list view" mode.
The checkbox to show it on the Store webpage is in a different place; I'll nag Tommy to fix that.

Not sure what to do about it.
The game data is stored in the savegame.dat file usually stored here. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Super Meat Boy\UserData.
If you have access to your old save simply copy paste overwrite and you will have your progress back. If you have lost your achievements you will get some of them. You wont get the no death world run avhievements or the glitch warp zones but everything else should come back straight away. This is also how you can start the game again should you wish, create a back up of your main save outside the userdata folder and then delete the copy in the userdata folder. When you start again it will be a clean profile. THis doesnt affect steam achievements and I'm not sure about leaederboards.
Good luck
