Not that difficult
You respawn instantly, every level is under 30 seconds. Its not that difficult. Am I the only person that thinks so?

some of the levels from the "last" world take 50-60s for A+

you have the right attitude the game is generally 106able (full completion) by anyone but to get no death achievements or speedrun takes skill and just getting 106 will take a good number of hours for anyone i think. I will say this if you are early on in the game expect a big ramp in difficulty at world 5 light and 3 dark

to be honest, it's all muscle memory
trying to get all the no death achievements and need to finish rapture (dark) and cotton valley (light+dark) right now

You just need to understand the obstacles and how to move. With a little practice it isn't too hard to enjoy, but I still think it's challenging

It gets harder and harder. You sound like you just started the game.

No I'm 8 hours in. Not like I completed everything. Just 5 chapters and a few of the dark worlds. It is still challenging, but there are less popular games that feel more difficult. Just my opinion. If it gets more difficult by the end that's a good thing, but it didn't. The dark world and warp zones seem like side quests, extra content that I'm happy to have.

pffft peoples gotta stop with this. Any% is not passing the game. It's 106 or nothing :D Also dont forget that this game doest just sell off difficulty to pass. Its a damn good game for speedrunning with a large variety of categories and characters, levels that allow for intelligent routing and extreme difficulty to optimise. There's a reason the speedrunning community is still active 4 years after release with times constantly improving. Also the game is almost completely fair. With only a few exceptions such as naija clips there are no deaths that aren't your fault :D

Since all levels can be completed in less than a minute, it's all based on how you can learn "that particular minute" and how good you are with these games. Of course if you compare SMB with games like IWBTG it ends up to be like a tutorial. But all in all SMB is a challenging game and will require quite some time to get used to. Also, the hardest worlds (Dark Rapture, Light Cotton Alley and Dark Cotton Alley, IMO) will be pretty harder than the rest, so keep an eye on them.

And of course, try the no death thing if you want a real challenge. It took me like 10h to beat the game but 120h to get all achievements. Good luck! :golden:

Achievements make the game difficult?
