Xbox controller not recognized?

Super Meat Boy does not recognize my wired Xbox 360 controller. Rather, it doesn't accept any input from the controller. The controller has worked on Super Meat Boy in the past, and it works now on many other games. Can anyone provide insight on how I can fix this? Thanks.

Fix it! I had an other controller installed on my laptop (a steelseries one), not plugged, but always indicated in the windows control panel ("printer & other peripherics" or someting like that. Sorry for the poor translation my laptop is in French). So I just remove the steelseries controller from the list of detected controllers and then plugged my Xbox 360 controller and it works.
