Twitch plays Super Meat Boy ? Are you serious ?
I could ignore the stupid message about controller being better than keyboard as first screen that sometimes crashed the game, I could ignore some offensive stuff on blog including drawed nudity and all this stuff, but this is just beyond everything. As I have no idea how to directly link twitter posts here, I will just quote it, you can check it on their @Supermeatboy handle if you don't believe me: "If someone wants to make a Twitch Plays Super Meat Boy setup for us, we'll host it and give you lots of swag!" . Let me tell you what's wrong with it. First of all, god, this is a platformer game, you don't need to press one button to pass whole stage or, like in Pokemon, win a fight. You have to use combinations. Imagine thousand people trying to go somewhere in a platformer game with 20-second long delay between stream and chat - I think that's self-explainatory. But that's nothing when compared to their greedyness. I suppose they know how huge success was it and they want to copy it so they can earn $$$ for. I can't remember any game that was made by them since 2011, that's 3 years already. Now, they are trying to gain some cash through this cheap form of doing something that succeeded for another person, but this time they know what they are doing, twitchplayspokemon was the first kind of this type of streams, and they did it for fun I guess, not with instant imagination of thousands bucks from subs and ads. Now, Team Meat thinks they can get easy money for their 4 year old game just by letting viewers play it. If I am wrong, then why won't they stream it anywhere else ? Maybe I'm wrong, maybe they are going to give some part of money they earn from it for charity, but now I can see it as just another stupid try to earn easy cash so they can finally finish their new game about cats. Don't get me wrong, I love Binding of Isaac and Super Meat Boy, but this is just miserable to do as for developers, to ask someone to do something so they can get some money for basically not doing anything but leaving their broadcast turned on for days with profit. If I'm wrong, then explain why. I hope that they are going to rethink their decisions and at least try to do it themselves, then situation would be a little better at least.
