steam has no option to delete threads so im just going to leave this here and unsub to it

To many posts talking in circles and respones that just ignore what i have said before

At first i thought the game would keep being easy like half of cotten ally and the rest of light world
People say that the rest of the game is hard and that what i have done before is easy and i dont disagree because i havent done the entire game

achievments and speedrunning dont count as"game hard"

So if a moderater comes along you can delete this thread

That would apply to a lot of games.

Whilst I completely agree that it's generallydown to memorisation and practice, I feel it worth mentioning the levels required to beat the game are the easy ones; play through the later dark world stages and cotton alley and you might find t more challenging

bit.trip, cave story, ESJ, hotline miami, limbo, vvvvvv, the majority of danmaku games - alot of games are essentially memorising exactly what to do and practicing strategies, it's the execution of those strategies and consistency required to successfully pull them off that's considered difficult

It's like saying "hey, if I don't get hit in Hotline Miami, I'll never die!". It requires more than that. It requires accuracy. If it was as easy as you say to memorize everything, speedrunning would not be so exclusive and any normal person could get into it. I'm not saying that SMB is hard or easy—I'm saying that this is what video games boil down to if you want to succeed.

For what it's worth, I don't find SMB to be a difficult game unless you're going for 100%, and then becomes its own beast when you do the 'no-death' achievements.

I think it's hard indeed in comparison with usual games, where you don't have to break your fingers and a gamepad in order to beat the game. Seriously, it's mind blowing.

Because only 0,4% of the people get all the achivements in the game, that's it.

OP has a staggering 3 achievements. Nuff said.

I dont care about achievements. So why would i get them? Thats like buying pokemon cards when i dont like pokemon. Not much logic in that
Maybe one day i will try to get the achievements. But in many other games achievements are worthless like kill 100 people or fire 10000 bullets or give someone a bottle of milk or even complete 1 level. So i did not think to look at super meat boys achievements before!

I'v been trying for a few days to understand what your getting at.Yes some games are hard even if you know what is going to happen before you do them

If you watch someone fight this zelda boss before you the boss will remain (not easy)
If you watch someone complete a super meat boy stage before you do then it will be much MUCH easyer
I dont call smb skill because of this fact

Dont correct my grammer =P

Your original post says that it isn't hard because you have to memorise how to beat the levels:

It isn't as simple as that, even if you have a strategy it can be difficult to actually perform it accurately and consistently. You have to practice to beat the level, and even if you've practiced levels several times there's a lot of room for error that keeps it from being simple memorisation. Try and play through the rapture light world right now without dieing, you've already completed it once and it's familiar to you but you're not going to pull off a no-death run without practice, accuracy and consistency.

If not that, watch some 106% speedruns and you'll see that even people who have practiced for thousands of hours make mistakes and very rarely get sub-100 death runs despite memorising the entire game.

And you really can't compare it to a puzzle game like zelda which relies almost solely on figuring out and knowing what to do. Compare it to any of the other platformers (and hotline miami) I've mentioned, you won't beat any of them just by watching someone else play them. (except limbo because that pretty much is a puzzle game and relies on knowing what to do)

You've only scratched the surface though. Yes, you have got to The End, but you have not got to The Real End, which requires completing the Dark Worlds. You really have to complete that before you can make claims of this game being easy. Then there are the warp zones and the bandages. Believe me, most of the achievements in this game are much more substantial than in other games.

Killing that boss is not a puzzle and zelda while it has like 3 or 4 simple riddles is not a puzzle game
I know what i said at the first post.I dont understand what you mean about memorization and accuracy.I'v been getting bored of smb so i have not got to the dark worlds yet or anytime soon but regardless you cant throw half the game out of the subject
