SMB Will not startup :(
I have re installed game, reinstalled drivers, adn verified game files. I even changed the resolution in the launch options and put it on -windowed to see if that was the problem. No matter what i do the game just seems to not work

Works normally on my setup. Could you try launching the game from the console and post the output here?
On Linux, the game path is ~/.local/share/Steam/SteamApps/common/[Game name].

I tried this, same result. Gets to the little gear loader and crashes

What is the output to the console when it crashes? Could you copy/paste it here? Maybe it's just a matter of missing libraries.

Would you mind telling us how you got it to work? Does it have to do with the drivers?

Sorry, by console I meant command line. I am on Linux right now, but to launch a game from the command line in Windows, maybe the following works:

1. Press Windows+R (to run a program).
2. In the text field that appears, type:
cmd
This stands for "command line", and will launch a new command line window, which looks like a black box with white text.
3. In the command line, type:
"C:\Steam\steam.exe" -applaunch 40800
and press Enter. This will launch the Steam application with ID=40800 (which is Super Meat Boy).
4. Now, the game should start running after a while. If it crashes, try copying the output from the command line, and pasting it here (in "code" tags, if possible - you can look them up under "Formatting help"). It might give us a clue as to what's wrong.
5. After you're done, you can exit the command line by typing:
exit

I hope this is the correct way to do it under Windows, I haven't used it in a while.

Today my meatboy has had a really long loading screen after the gamepad screen, and finally ended up in an SQL error. I have never had this before, anyone know why or is the server really down?

I posted the solution in this forum

You have to skip the connection attenpt to SMworld server by diconecting from internet during the launching of the game
