Is super meat boy appropriate for children?
My son wants to play this game but i'm not sure about it.

It's a great game! I would definetely recommand it!
It's really hard though, so it will be a big challange for him.
However if you're concerned it will "ruin your child" then don't.
At most there is some comic releaf which could be considered "violent" but that's essentially unavoidable with any game.

It has a grimm story behind it, but not recognisable through the game itself (afaik).

There's a Youtube video of a bunch of children playing the game. They look to be between the ages of 7-13. They all seem to like it until the part where they kept dying, lol. There's one girl who steeled herself and made it past some of the earlier hard levels.
