Looking For Players? AI War Sortie - Fall 2012

Hello! The last AI War sortie post only garnered five players looking for a game, but I'm hoping we can organize something more substantial with the addition of the new Steam community hubs. Hoping! Please check this forum topic[www.arcengames.com] if you wish to understand why the game does not have an in-game matchmaking service, and more information on other ways of finding people to play with.

Well, looks like this has gone uncommented for too long... So here's one.

Locale/Time: USA, Eastern Standard Time (GMT/UTC-5), Sundays I'm generally free all day and monday-friday typically free 14-18 EST [19-23 GMT/UTC)]
Expansions: I have all of the expansions, so there's no worries about compatibility there
Dedication: I'd be more than willing to play a regular Sunday game. Weekdays too but Sundays would be easiest.
Hosting: I haven't tested my hosting capabilities with AI War specifically, but I do know how to set up port forwarding and I see no reason why I wouldn't be able to do this with AI War.

Others:
I've only played AI War solo, and would really like to try it out in a group. Even just a 2-man co-op would be cool, but 4+ sounds great.
I'd prefer not to use Hamachi

Here's hoping someone's interested in a game! And that more people start commenting on here.

-hosting: embarrassing fact=my comp is a POS that can barely run bioshock 1, single-core processor, 2g ram, etc. it has no trouble with this game. i have a reliable internet connection and a backup comp, both will run AI war. but i don't think me hosting would be a good idea, just sayin. thanks for your time :)

I've never played multiplayer and actually am still going through my first game full game of AI War so I hesitate to comment on this thread as it seems most everyone in the Game Hub for AI War are hard-core veterans. So, with that in mind, I'm still going to say I'd love to join in and play a long-term game with a group if they are open to having a newb to help fight the horde. I've just been having a blast in single player for the last 17 hours and all that I've read/watched about coop it sounds like a blast!

- Time availability: Wed is out, most evenings I'm open.
- Expansions: I have everything but Ancient Shadows, but would be willing to buy that immediately if needed. I just haven't since I just started playing this game.
- Dedication to a long-term game: I'd love to play a long-term game. Should be pretty flexible.
- Can host or need Hamachi/Tunngle/VPNs: No idea how my laptop would fare hosting (Core Duo @ 1.73GHz; 2 Gig RAM) and have never played multiplayer so would have to try.
- Other aspects: like I said, a total newb...just sayin'.
