AI War: Fleet Command

AI War: Fleet Command

Difference between Tier 2 and Tier 3 cloaker starship?
Is there any other difference than a marginal hull boost and the increased number of ships is can hide?

My fleet is rather small so I wonder if spending the extra 1000 knowledge will give me any benefits, like perhaps the quality of their cloaking is better (harder to detect) or they have better sniper countermeasures?

I wouldnt know to be honest i find the cloaker starships a waste of knowledge and i only use them for cloaking my warheads

What really? You surely must see their possible applications. Don't tell of them are pointless against stronger AIs D:

  • I mean really there is pretty much no other use then cloaking warheads

  • They seemed pretty effective at protecting me from sniper ships, sniper guard posts, sentinel frigates, MRLS and rocket guard posts, missile frigates etc.

  • You can bring your champion to whatever location it needs to be (even snipe orbital massdrivers with it).

  • Position younglings in stand down-mode (no attrition) for maximum effectiveness. Yng Fireflies especially befenit from this.

  • Escape too powerful fleets.

  • Hide ships so they can be repaired by fortresses / medic ships mid-combat.

Don't tell me this is nothing.

Those are weaker alternatives for only 1k or 2k less knowledge.

I don't know of a difference between the t2 and t3 [you might check to see if the highest level is immune to tachyon], but on a tactical/strategic level consider that everyone operates differently, so just because on other individual doesn't find a use for the ship doesn't mean that it's useless; it just means they themselves don't use it.

I used a cloaker starship to get my 8 champs to the AI homeworlds in my game vs 2 level 10 AIs when my plan to win with spire fleet failed on the last part getting the last power core.
