Force CD installation?

Ok so I bought my copy of the game from a store so I actually have the orignal CD , but everytime I try to install the game , Steam automatically starts downloading the FULL 6.6Gb instead of installing FROM what's on the CD.

Does anybody knows how I can make steam stop doing that? Because I just CAN'T download 6.6Gb with my internet connection there's just no way.

I tried switching to off-line mode but steam doesn't want to install at all in offline-mode. :/
