for back-up reasons: where are my saved games ? I have searched the "STEAM" folder but could not find anytthing .. please help

Then search the Documents folder

C/Users/*UserName*/Saved Games (not sure what this is for you tho, for me it vas "Tallennetut Pelit")/Risen2/SaveGames

Crysis 2, Assassin's Creed and Two Worlds 2 seems to use that folder too. Usually save games are in the Documents folder as ArcheangeL said. In either "My Games" folder, or just a folder with the game's name.

Sorry, nothing found, I have "Documents&Settings, Programs, Windows, NVidea," as folders on "C". In the folder "Programs" is a folder "Steam", but I can`t find the saved games. I`ve startet a "windows" saerch for "sav", still no solution. Please help, I really need to install my "windows" again and do not want to start the game again from the beginning

If you are using Windows Vista or newer go to %userprofile%\Saved Games\Risen 2

but

if you are using Windows XP go to %userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Risen2\SaveGames

userprofile = C:\Users\(user-name)

and try to trun on show hidden files and folders becasue sometimes these files are hidden.

Long after completing the game and uninstalling, just discovered an 11.8 GB Saved Games\Risen2\SaveGames folder with 1,964 .save files @ ~6 MB each!
