Skirmish - Allied AI (Communication)
In a Skirmish game, how do i communicate with the AI to attack our opponent? or even come to help me out?
The AI makes a ton of units and most of the time doesn't even move them.
I've tried all 3 map Pings (F5, F6, F7), however doesn't seem effective in Skirmish with AI (works only in Multiplayer)
Any thoughts ?

The AIs of hteSupreme Commander-series are kinda unique in many (negative and positive) aspects. One of them is that you can not give them orders or communicate in any way with them. (Forged Alliance got a very popular mod changing that btw)

At the other hand, you can customize AIs in the skirmish options to focus on:
  • Land
  • Air
  • Naval (Aeon will try to get anti-naval units asap)
  • Turtle
  • Balanced (usually Land and Air split, on water maps sometimes Naval instead)
  • Rush (they won't research anything and purely focus on units of any type)

Also, the AIs have neural networks, allowing them to adapt on you (both as ally and as enemy), so after a while of playing against them they will have better responses on your playstyle.

The more you play with them, the better your allies will be able to support you. (The effectiveness also increases with the rounds length, as your long term strategy becomes clearer for the AI).

Map pings are only used for Multiplayer communication, but in the previously mentioned FA-Mod they also worked for the AI. That may explain your confusion.

Haha, no problem. If nobody, then atleast i glue the large part of new and the other half or experienced players together.
