Game Can not get into Main Menu, black screen

when i start the game and wait for a sec, the screen is black. why? never see the main menu.

Are you guys using Windows10? That's the most likely case causing it (reminder: this game is 7 years old).

Oh, and try browsing the forums next time, the "Search forums" button exists for a reason.

this problem has beed fixed. my OS is windows10.so just find the game EXE.and run the game with XP.you can get into the main menu

The way to fix your problem is by right clicking it in the steam library, clicking properties. After clicking properties you will find a list of folders. click on the folder named "bin." Then right click the supreme commander 2 in that folder and go to properties. Once you have done this there should be a "compatibility" tab. You have to run the troubleshooter and you should know what to do from there.
