Game freezes at main menu
the title pretty much speaks for its self basically I have never had any problems before always been able to play and highest quality but everytime i start the game it freezes and crashes

I have the same problem with Gmod crashing on startup (Mac OS 10.8). Would like to know if there's a workaround/fix available, or if the problem has been recognized.

I can confirm as of now, after another update, it still freezes at the main menu.

Not sure why I didn't think of this earlier. Try this, if you installed any addons recently then try disabling/uninstalling some to see if it fixes your problem.

I had the same problem. My friend messaged me whilst I had the main menu freeze. I tried to alt tab out to see the chat item but instead it unfroze the game! Summary; just press alt+tab.

None of this has worked out for me even still today. Any ideas?
