NPCs drop through map
Theres a problem ive had for a little while. Its when i spawn in some type of NPC, then save and come back, the NPC is now under the map. this is really frustrating for making a level. any thoughts?

I'm having this same problme, and it's really damn annoying. Their heads stick just above the ground.

Yes its because the npcs load into your game before the floor does. So first of all disable AI thinking to make them not attack or fall when you raise them. Then make all your npcs float about 2 metres above the ground. When you load the map with ai thinking enabled they will instantly fall to the ground again but won't fall through it because it'll have already loaded in.

Yeah. Wondering why it's not been fixed yet.

Is there a way to make the map load first? So that once the npc's load they will be in their exact proper location?

There probably is, most likely with LUA coding. If that fails use valve's hammer editor people. It's much more efficient.
Guys, load the map first, then go to saves tab in your spawning menu, and open the save. All done, fixed.

You're, uh... slightly late to the party here, bud.

M8, I'm still amazed they haven't fixed it yet + it's never late 4party.

I also have the same problem when saving maps with NPCs in them. Does anyone know a tool or way to keep them in their places whenever I load the map?
