How about an actual fix for "server uses different class tables"?

I'm getting that error along with many others and opting out of betas does NOT fix it for me and, again, many others. I've tried deleteing the clientregistry.blob and steam.cfg, then restarting steam which worked the first time, but now isn't working. Others have been able to join our server, so I don't think it's an issue of the server needing an update. Can someone please give me a fix for this and not one that involves deleting everything... I'm not waiting for games to download and I'm not downloading all of the workshop addons and svn addons again. Thanks...

I was having the same problem. The reason for me was because I was in the Steam Development Beta. Check to see if you are in the beta, and if so, then select the Opt Out option and restart steam. It should update then allow you to join.

Then either you or the server you are playing on needs to update. Give it a couple days and see if it fixes it or try to notify the server admin that the server needs updating.

i recieved a question if i want to update or just play gmod i clicked update so gmod got updated but it showed me the diffrenet class tablets
it was working 1-2 hours before the update but after update i cant go to the server

How do i update the server? I've done app_update 4020 and app_update 4020 validate so many times now, still wont let me in
