Haha yeah there's running, jumping and you get threatened by Glados so its tense at times- puzzles aren't normally so...well...action packed!! :D

Yea I get why but it does not say puzzle anywhere so a person who does not know anything about this game may think its a shooter or something

Well normally Portal is a very "famous" game, so to speak. So I think many people familiar with Valve will certainly recognize the game for its unique gameplay and the very large amount of awards it has recieved. Many people might also read what the game is and look at what you actually DO in-game, so I think people may realize it is not a shooter.

Everyone else has a good point, though. It definitely contains more elements that aren't directly controlled by you. If you don't move, you die. That wasn't normally the case in Portal, except in the case of rocket launchers.

I think it's more of a lot of action going on in your head, I mean, there's running, panicking (Incinerator, much?), and a whole lot of running.

Portal is arguably an FPS, only instead of shooting bullets, you shoot portals
