Portal savegames corrupted!

Since the last beta update my portal save files are always corrupted, is it possible to fix it??? I play portal on windows. Thanks.

Half LIfe 2 is also affected by this bug.

when you get killed at any level, the screen goes black and goes to main menu and saved games are corrupted.

Same problem here, magnaram you are right:
- autosaves don´t load.
- quicksaves don´t load.
- manual saves don´t load.

Apparently "SteamPipe Beta" is causing the issue, but not sure... I also sent a support ticket.
I hope it fixed soon.

I've been getting the same problems that magnaram & Nukem described as well. Whenever i die, my screen blackens until i hit esc, which sends me to the main menu, where none of my saves will load.
It's getting annoying trying to complete a level with the fear of not messing up and corrupting my saves.

Well this savegame corruption breaks the game entirely. If Valve ever fixes this save corruption glitch then I'll try playing this again. Until then, this is junkware.
