faust.twi: Do you have an Intel video card as well?
Alice.rus and somebody else who mentioned this both have Intel cards, so this problem could be Intel specific.

Same here, I have an Nvidia and an Intel video card.

I've also seen the same transparency issue with my Intel HD 4000 (i7-3520M) using both Mesa 9.0.3 from Ubuntu Quantal and the latest Mesa GIT.

I have the same issue. Intel HD 3000. Plays fine on the card in Windows.

Experiencing the same on a Acer v3-771 Intel HD3000, Ubuntu 13.04. I often see the glass walls through other objects. I also see the field by each level exit through walls.

Same problem here with Gentoo on an Intel GPU. Not sure what model, though, should be a HD4000.

@Vortex I also get trippy multicoloured vision while stepping into a portal. It makes the late levels harder.

Ubuntu 13.04, Intel HD3000.

Switching to xorg-edgers seemed to help with the trippy vision (though not with the occlusion), can someone confirm? Edit: no, it happened again in a different level.
