Bug with purchase? Demo transfered to full version without paying

The title says it, I was using Portal Demo through Wine on linux, which should AFAIK end in chapter 10 - no orange gun. But On my new PC (also on Wine) the game was already in my library, so I could download it and play more than 10 chapters, so I actually got orange gun. What should I do with it?

I also can play it on Linux in the Beta now, also the full, that is understandable, but I am confused that I don't see anything about Portal in my account history (Upprer right corner > <name> > Account details [or what's it in English]) I see here some gifts, Steam for Linux and Steam, but nothing about Portal.

An answre form some developer would be appreciated.

IIRC, months ago the Linux betatesters got Portal for free on their libraries as a gift from Valve.

So shut up and play, FREE GAEMZ! :D

Yes. I never bought Portal (I bought Portal 2, though), but after installiing the beta of Steam for Linux i had Portal in my library one day.
