i came here looking for mod suggestions also.

If you are looking for gameplay, wit, and character like the original Portal, you probobly won't find it it mods.

Prelude is the only one i have tried so far, but it wasn't what i was hoping for. You can easily see what the solutions to the puzzles are, but completing them involves trying the portal jumps over and over (and over and over and over) trying to increase momentum by jumping higher or executing crouch-jumps. it apears to be designed for masochists. not fun to me or worth the time to download in my case.

but it's free, so you have nothing to loose but time.
