x360ce - non xbox controller

Anyone being able to use a non xbox controller? I normally use s360ce for games, however it seems that portal 1 has protected the file xinput1_3.dll and rewrites it every time you start a game. The thing is that x360ce modifies this file in order to appear as an xbox controller (currently using a dual_shock 2 via usb adapter).
