I will go with wheatley. Despite his scatterbrain personality, I really like him as a character. He renders lots of help while he is good, as well as ensures the game stays interesting thanks to the dialogue he has and the story he tells. Not to mention, he makes a pretty comedic and crazy enemy.

Wheatley and Cave are both awesome, but GLaDOS is one of the greatest video game characters EVER - maybe THE greatest. Her dialogue in the original Portal is some of the best in video game history - "And when you die, you will not be mourned. It says it right her, in your file. 'Shall not be mourned.' Very formal. Very official." "Actually, that wasn't a morality core you destroyed. That made shoes for orphans. Nice job breaking it, hero." "Remember, your Companion Cube will never threaten to stab you." "Android Hell is a real place, and you will go there at the first sign of defiance."

And of course McLain's voice acting is inspired. She actually managed to make GLaDOS sympathetic, which is a remarkable achievement.
