Portal textures

Before I bought Portal, I installed the demo to try it. I noticed in the demo that the portal textures were blurry. When Portal installed, I tried it and found that the portal textures were the same. I looked on Youtube and others had a different set of portal textures.

My question is this: Would the demo files affect the main game?
