chamber 18 Monster! p.s. - why so short a game???

Title says it all. I've watched a few walk throughs via YouTube and Yikes! what an ordeal. When I first started playing I pretty much knew the levels would get tougher as they progressed, but why only 19 of them?
Valve, don't you think that's selling it a little short? (psstt, Steam, discount Portal 2 asap so I can get my paws on it! ;))

After I finished it, I just sat there, thinking"Wow. What have I just played? And why was it so short?" On the forum, a guy said that apparently the portal gun was originally meant to be used in Half-Life, and that Portal was just to test the concept. But it seems that the game was so popular that it spawned its own series. Either that or Valve decided to cancel the Portal gun in Half-Life.

There are not just 19 levels. After the 19th you have to escape from the facility, and its also several levels. More than that, there are the advanced test rooms.

Good to know. As for where I am on 18, stuck at the part near the end with multiple platforms. Watched a walkthrough, player made it easy as pie. Once I hit the first of the highest platforms with a portal, I drop and drown. Other attempts jumping down doesn't lift me high enough to reach said platform. Any tips and tricks to avoid drowning? Thanks!
