Gifting

I already have Portal 1, but I bought the orange box that includes portal 1. Is there any way I can gift it, or is it just lost?

I think since you already own it, you can gift it.

Any clue how to? I can't seem to find it, and when I tried sending someone a trade offer including it, it wasn't there. Maybe I'm just oblivious and completely missing something..

So basically, if it were hl2 or hl2: episode 1 that i was trying to gift it would work, but since it's portal, it won't. That seems really dumb. Thank you for the link though!

Sheesh. When it involves The Orange Box they give the nod to HL2 and HL2: EP1 to compensate for duplicate copies, but Portal (which uses the same hl2.exe engine) gets left out?!

That's really surprising of Valve to do that.

I should think that having more giftable copies of Portal would stimulate more sales of Portal 2. It just makes good business sense. Heck, they compensate for duplicates when splitting the Portal Bundle.
