help with portal mods

i downloaded some portal mods off of gamefront. some downloaded as zip files and work fine off mygame list. others downloaded as RAR files or Z7 files and i cant get them to transfer to my game list or even open them.can anybody help. thanks for the help with the crosshair its working

Rar and 7z files can be opened using a free app called 7zip, which is a good program for archive needs.
