Black Mesa V.S. Aperture

So, I've been thinking (as I do often. I have a lot of free time!) Black Mesa, the science company from Half-Life is the arch rival to Aperture, right? Well, I want to see what you guys think: Are you a part of a sensible, awesome company where "There's a hole in the sky through which things can fly" or do you think resonance cascades that suck people into another dimension that they couldn't even shut down the first stinkin' time is a good idea?!
(note: this is just for fun. I totally respect your opinion and take no offense, as I hope you don't either) Let me know what you guys think! :)

I hate to bust in at a time like this. But we don't officially KNOW if Aperture and Black Mesa are rivals...Why? Because Half Life 3 hasn't released yet. Im going to make the estimated time of 10 years.

Trophy in Old Aperture declares Aperture being the "2nd Best Military Contractor," the first being Black Mesa as evidenced by a competition chart in a conference room projector in Portal 1 that shows how much worse Aperture is doing than Black Mesa in military projects.

GLaDOS shows disdain for Black Mesa in "Still Alive" by saying "Maybe you'll find someone else to help you. Maybe Black Mesa? That was a joke. Ha ha. FAT CHANCE."


I think it's pretty damn clear they're rivals.
