Why flawless and the minigames are not satisfying:

There's only one achievement for defeating 3 minibosses with flawless. Other than that, it appears worthless. I know that you essentially save health by not getting hit, but that's obvious.
Seeing flaming letters saying "Flawless" just feels like a let down each time. Why isn't there a gold increase? Even a small one?

The same goes for the treasure games ... I rarely ace them but I don't do horribly. And yet, you end up getting LESS gold than if you had just fought a normal battle. What should be exciting (like, "Yes! Maybe I can nab some cash here before going to that bazaar") feels like a letdown -- "Darn. It would have been better if this was a regular battle".

If you get a merciless clear, you get bonus gold, 35 gold iirc. For the protect the gold minigame, you have a base 30 gold reward, and then every goblin that escapes is minus one gold, and I think every treasure lost is minus 5 gold. Something like that. Unless every golbin escapes, you should get more gold than a regular fight on average.

Same thing for the Hook minigame: a perfect run gives you 30, whereas 7/8 gives you about 22 or so, which is still more than average.

As for flawless clears, they indirectly give you bonus gold, in that you don't need to spend any to top up your health.

Well, then maybe I suck, as I rarely get more than 22 - 24 gold at the bonus games. And "indirectly" getting bonus gold by not spending money on reviving health is not exciting. Regardless of the "flawless" text you are saving money by not losing health. Just like in ANY game that requires you to heal by means of potions. I still think it feels like a letdown. Especially when you start wracking up flawless chains -- seeing "flawless x 15" is cool ... but it doesn't mean much.

I sure hope the developer comes here and makes a comment ... I still LOVE the game and it's all I'm playing for the moment, fanatically. I've almost unlocked all the unlocks. But I still persistently feel dissatisfied with "flawless".

i really really hope the devs didnt abandon this great game. its one of my favourites so i am hoping it will continue on. sooooo looking forward to paid DLC as well
