Performance Issues

I know this is a known problem with the game, but I came here to ask if there is any known fix? I have an i7 2630qm and a GTX460m, and even at 720p, I get under 30fps a lot of the time. I run Crysis better than this at 720p, so I find it strange that this is the case with this game. Does it come down to bad optimization from the developer? I've googled this many times and still can't find an answer. I tried editing to XML file, but I don't think it does anything.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ahead of time!

By now you should know better as a PC gamer that comparing two different games performances are like apples and oranges. Crysis uses crytek engine and Gothic 4 uses vision engine. I too have problems running this game above 30fps and I am using AMD chipset. Did you download a demo before? If so, you may need to delete the previously installed demo and you may need to go into your registy file and delete the entries as well.
