Don't let my hour count fool you, I played this game many years ago & spent 3-4 years playing it several hours a day
, I had bought it from Wal-Mart for 9.99 not realizing what I was getting into. After I installed it, then updated to version 1.50, I had my rear handed to me while trying to figure it all out. 3 months later I was a member of one of the top Clans at the time (Hard 2 Kill). After about a year, I ended up as #2 ranked player in the world (which at the time was over 3,300 players). The community back then was great, we had a ton of players, several dedicated servers, & a ton of custom made maps. The story of the singleplayer game was similar to Total Recall, but not a direct rip off of it. Again, who plays a fps for the story anyway, the real fun comes from the competition/multiplayer aspect. Which again as long as you didn't encounter a hacker, was quite fast paced, & enjoyable. Frag someone while jumping out the window, or down a stairwell, snipe someone from the ladder of a helicopter.
The weapons in the game were all accurate, with some spread, but was no where near the likes of Counter Strike where even 10ft from a player you could miss every shot without them moving. In Chaser the weapons actually hit where you aimed, not 10 feet over to the left or right, but dead center. This game also had way better graphics then the original Counter Strike (which again was the competitor at the time) & better maps, it just needed some love/tweaking which it never received. I purchased this game again to re-live some of that fun, hopefully more players will be willing to purchase/host so that we can enjoy the multiplayer aspect again.
