Anyone know average play time?
So I had this game in my inventory for a long time and just decided to try it out. It's actuelly pretty good! The facial expressions, movements, and voice acting is a little cheesy at times but still the game feels very smooth and nice. Anyway, does anyone know how long it takes to beat the game?

You will find, as you progress, that the AI is 'dated.' It requires you to die, die, die, until you figure out how to survive a level by memorizing where all of your enemies are placed, and taking them out it the most efficient order, while retaining as many health-points as you can to enter the next level with. I have been at it for 70 hours and I think I am 2/3 through the game.

70 hours! Good lord man! I'm a game beater, I love to see the credits roll, but I don't know if I want to put that much time into it.

Yes, the game was criticized for having long stretched-out missions.
Wait for it to go on a 66 to 80 percent sale,
I am at "Lomonosov Crater: Ruins" at 84 hours into the game; I usually play games slow, though.
Best walkthrough is here:

84 hours? i played this game 10 years ago, forgot how to beat the levels. Now I replaying it, I'm stucking everywhere, visiting every piece of levels, dying, but I already beaten 2/3 of the game in just 8 hours. I just can't imagine how single story could be played more than 20 hours.

I agree. I can beat most Final Fantasy games in less than 84hours and those games are really long. I doubt this game is 84hours long unless you 100% and get stuck A LOT. I tried the game out though and it seems pretty good

84 hours seems a bit much for me as wel. I'd say it will take you averagely around 20 hours.

It took me 88.7 hours to see the credits roll. [normal difficulty level]

53 hours here. Not a perfect game, but really enjoyed it a lot. Would definitely recommend it.

Here you go buddy,

Someone linked me to this site a few years ago, and it has been in my favorites since. Best thing out there for people like myself who don't like to start games without knowing how long they are.

I usually spend at least 15-20 hours. I've yet to play through on Steam however. I just use my steam copy for WorldStudio

Just finished this game in 12 hours and I'm not somebody who like to rush while playing. I played it on easy difficulty, as somebody in this forum reccomended to do so, as normal in his mind was very difficult. So maybe thats why I finished it so quickly. Only on the last level I found dying frequently from the enemies and loading again and again, tho' the ladders were the biggest enemie, can't recall how many times I died from trying to go fown on them . The grenade weapons were totally useless, even the normal enemies needed around 5 shots before dying.

For 1,25e it was totally worth it. I think this game is underrated.

FA-MAS grenade, GDL, and TAFF have very low splash damage. Land a direct hit, and you'll kill them easily.

23 hours , got lost a lot , there was 2 or 3 places i bet i spent a hour or more trying to figure out how to go forward
for a dated game i must say it was enjoyable
kinda reminds me of Alpha Prime
love these late 90's early 2000's games
back in the day of true computer gaming
when they made games for computers and not console to computer ports

im playing on normal mode and its taking around an hour a board, some more.theres alot of areas where your ambushed and the only way out is death, open doors 3 guys on other side blasting machine guns dead, exit vent guy off to side cannot even see till you exit dead, walk(sneek) around corner of bldg machine gunned from all sides including behind you where you just came from dead, even know you clear the room with a fine tooth comb they magically pop out of wall behind you dead, this is what takes so long, theres no way to know thier there till theres a bullet in your head.then you replay knowing where they are and move on to next killing field.and do it all over.and a full life can literaly be ate up in a second.i dont mind a hard game but better balance would have made this a more enjoyable game.save save save game motto.
still cool game but can be very annoying in places.

This game definitely does a good job of revealing the limitations of 2003 AI-technology.
