Enemy scaling
Is this a thing? I swear I was going into 1 sword dungeons at first and they were level 5, so the same as me - and I've gone into another and its matching my level at 7. I'm not a huge fan of this, so would be nice to have it confirmed. I was thinking this was going to be a relaxing dungeon crawly adventure, but if I'm never going to get stronger no matter what I do I don't really see the point?

yes they scale to your level. the 3 sword dungeons are difficult if you don't have upgraded equipment and spells

You most definitely can pull ahead of the enemy difficulty curve with well turned items and planning which spells to level up. The higher difficulty dungeons (more than one sword in story mode) offer additional challenge while at the same time yielding better items.

The Gauntlet game is an ever increasing difficulty, so although it's possible to get ahead of the difficulty curve in the game mode, and it far more difficult to stay there than in the story game ... and when you die, it's game over.
