So how exactly does enemy scaling work?
Do enemies simply match your level? Or do they match your stat totals?

Because I was giving the game a try, and when I had a bunch of boosted health (whatever the heart icon was called), the enemies seemed to have a massive amount of health themselves. I went from fighting level 3 enemies that went from taking 20-30 damage to kill to enemies that were taking 100+ damage before dying.

Hi Lord Blade. Enemy difficulty is centered around level and not stat totals. This means that you can use your gear to really get an advantage over the current difficulty of enemies.

Note that in story mode there are dungeons that are higher difficulties, so you'll see enemies there that are higher in level ... but the loot from those dungeons is also better (up to a point).

Also, in Gauntlet mode enemies ramp up in level at a faster rate after each boss battle ... and that progression of difficulty goes on and on and just becomes more and more difficult.
