casual is meant to be more easy
The game is fantastic btw, but I stop playing because it's almost impossible to pass several boss scenes in casual mode. Rajani (Second Fase) How?? :)

Turn the difficulty up a notch if you find it too casual, honestly most people I see tend to complain that the game is too difficult.

I was referring to casual. It's hard.

Oh- right, then. If you're playing as Lucas, my only advice is to become very good friends with the blocking stance- with any other class you can kite just about anything, especially on casual.

I agree with the OP. They should at least allow a cheat mode for those that are having trouble playing the game they purchased. Let me get through the game so I can learn strategy...not the other way around.

That's like buying a chess board and getting upset that all your pieces can't be queens or painting all the faces of a rubiks cube so they're all the same color. If you can't get through it it's not because it's too hard, it's because you're doing something wrong- figure out what that is and correct it and the difficulty should melt away (i.e. don't keep trying the same thing expecting different results).

Yes dad. ;)

It's really just a simple request to be able to choose to play a game in a way that I feel comfortable with. Being able to make the game easy enough for me to play is simply a personal desire and not a constraint that I am trying to place on you either.

I think part of it may be the investment of time for some people. It is hard to tell if a game actually warrants the extra effort to learn it's idiosyncrasies, and lately it seems like games are more flash than substance. That is a waste of my time.

I am currently taking the time to learn Dark Souls because I have some faith that it is worth my time, and I hope that it will pay off (so far so good!). However, I would have liked an easy mode in that too. ;)

I'll try to play a few more times, I like to play with Katarina. :)

There actually IS an ingame console in DS3, it just takes some jury-rigging and tinkering to access/use. If I remember correctly there is a god mode and perhaps some other goodies you may want to try out.

Thank you for making me look again! I looked quite diligently when I first got the game, but I did not see this:

DS3 Console[www.sacah.net]

Just follow the instructions, type "god", and then enjoy the game!

As far as "learning the game", of course you are right. But I learned several things during the seemingly impossible battle in the town hall with the cheat that I can use through a subsequent play-through...hopefully without the cheat. But more importantly, it was now enjoyable instead of just frustrating!

And Dark Souls is just fine the way it is ;)

Well, this isn't school, and it's not my income tax, and I don't play mult-iplayer (ever). So, I don't see the harm if it makes it more enjoyable for me in a single-player game. I agree with you in regards to a multi-player context...no cheating!

As Lucas on casual you need to get good dps so you can take enemies down in about 3 swings of your 2hander, and dodge like a mofo

What a great game! I am so glad you are letting me cheat ;)
